Project Description:

The Living Murray Program was established in 2002 in response to evidence showing the declining health of the River Murray system. It is a partnership of the Australian, NSW, Victorian, South Australian and ACT governments, aiming to achieve a healthy working River Murray system for the benefit of all Australians. This includes returning up to 1,500 GL of water to enhance the River’s environment.

Hydro Environmental was engaged to conduct a series of workshops aimed at:

Hydro Environmental organised, facilitated and documented the workshops and assisted in the preparation of responses to the MDBC.

Key Skills Applied:

Water regulating framework, water planning and management, irrigation practices, strong understanding of Victorian water resource policy and legislation, understanding of irrigation networks, consultation, good communication, workshop facilitation.
