Project Description:
For three years Hydro Environmental managed the co-ordination of the Murray Darling Basin Commission Strategic Investigation and Development Program valued at about $4 million p.a. This project involved strategically identifying emerging issues, developing projects to address any knowledge gaps related to these issues, identifying and securing partner funders, and managing consultant contracts, assessing outputs and ensuring outputs were of an appropriate quality. Delivery of the project also involved gaining consensus on many sensitive interstate issues and managing the various expectations of numerous stakeholders. Steering committee formulation, program development within a limited budget and internal MDBC communication were also important.
